Count the chairs going out
Tell us how many chairs are leaving and where they sit. Condition does not change the price. A chair with a blown gas lift costs the same to remove as one that still works.
SIHOO Australia · Professional Disposal
A flat $30 per chair to take the old seating away. Booked against the same order as your new chairs, so the floor clears on the day it needs to.
Flat rate per chair. GST included. Same rate in every Australian state, metro or regional.
Transparent pricing
Rubbish removal is normally priced by the truck load or the cubic metre, which means you cannot cost the job until some one walks your floor. We price per chair, so a hundred chairs is a number you can put in a budget today.
The process
Tell us how many chairs are leaving and where they sit. Condition does not change the price. A chair with a blown gas lift costs the same to remove as one that still works.
Most offices want the old chairs gone before the new ones arrive, because there is rarely floor space to hold both. Where the schedule allows, we handle removal and delivery in the same visit.
Our team collects from the workstation, not from a pile you have already made in the lobby. Lift bookings and dock access are arranged before the day, not on it.
Once the chairs leave your site they are handled through our waste contractor. Nothing further is asked of your team and nothing comes back to your floor. The $30 covers collection, transport and disposal in a single fee.
Nationwide coverage
Disposal covers New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory. The rate does not change with your location. Chairs collected from a regional office cost the same $30 as chairs collected from the Melbourne CBD.
We clear chairs from offices in the Sydney CBD, North Sydney, Parramatta and Macquarie Park, the Melbourne CBD, Docklands, Southbank and Richmond, the Brisbane CBD, Fortitude Valley and South Brisbane, the Perth CBD and West Perth, plus Adelaide CBD, Canberra Civic and Barton, Hobart CBD and Darwin CBD.
Regional offices are not quoted separately and are not charged a travel loading. One published rate, applied across the board.

Tonnes of furniture waste per year
Australia wide commercial furniture waste statistics.
Efficiency & risk
Most Australian commercial leases carry a make good clause. It requires the space to be handed back cleared, and bulky furniture is the part that most often holds up a handover. Lawyers who work on these leases describe make good as the single most expensive clause many tenants have, and the one they read last.
The fallback plans usually fail. Second-hand dealers and charities will not take chairs that are stained, worn or broken, which describes almost every chair a business is replacing. That leaves a pile of seating in a space you are being charged rent on.
The scale of the problem is national. The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water reports that Australia generates around 30,000 tonnes of commercial furniture waste each year, and roughly 95 per cent of it goes to landfill. Office chairs sit at the front of that queue because they combine metal, plastic, foam and fabric in a way that is difficult to separate.
For facilities and procurement teams the practical benefit is simpler. One supplier delivers the new chairs and removes the old ones, on one invoice, against one purchase order. The alternative is coordinating a furniture supplier and a waste contractor around the same lift booking, which is where handover dates usually slip.
